Meet Rachel

Empowering others in a creative safe space, where their voices can be heard and respected, is essential for their personal growth, development and healing.

Rachel Anne Clarkin

PACFA Reg.Certified Practising 29609.

Combining art and psychotherapy, I provide a safe and therapeutic space for children, adolescence and adults of diverse back grounds to explore lived experiences, improve well-being, build on strengths and resources and achieve personal growth. I use various art modalities and techniques to facilitate self-expression, reflection on insight and new perspectives while holding a space for recovery and healing.

I am a registered professional with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). As part of my continual professional development, I am an active member and presenter for Mental Health Professionals Network for Metro South Brisbane and Gold Coast areas and I sit on the board of the Hand Bent Banana Arts and Health Centre.

My experience includes the facilitation of art therapy to women, children and support workers at a domestic violence refuge, providing gender inclusive ASD Adolescence trauma work and capacity building under NDIS, trauma recovery for families under Legacy and self-care sessions for our carers.

Inner Me Art Therapy is a trauma informed, human-centred practice, providing therapeutic and psycho-educational support for children, adolescence and adults of all abilities and backgrounds, honouring and respecting diversity in culture, religion and sexual identity.
